Abstract
A method and system for triggering battery thermal runaway, which can trigger thermal runaway of a battery cell during a battery testing process. The method includes: charging a target battery cell in a battery, such that an energy level of the target battery cell is greater than an energy level of the other battery cells in the battery; and charging the battery in a case where the energy level of the target battery cell is greater than the energy level of the other battery cells.

A method for triggering battery thermal runaway, comprising:
- charging a target battery cell in a battery, such that an energy level of the target battery cell is greater than an energy level of the other battery cells in the battery;
- and
- charging the battery in a case where the energy level of the target battery cell is greater than the energy level of the other battery cells, so as to trigger thermal runaway of the battery.
