A negative electrode for lithium secondary battery comprising:

• a negative electrode current collector,
• a first negative electrode active layer provided on at least one side of the negative electrode current collector and including a first carbon-based negative electrode active material and a silicon-based negative electrode active material, and
• a second negative electrode active layer provided on the first negative electrode active layer and including a second carbon-based negative electrode active material;
• wherein the first negative electrode active layer has an orientation index in a range from 5 to 15 according to the following Equation 1, and
• satisfies the following Equation 2 in a range more than 0.6 and 1.5 or less:

• wherein, in Equation 1 and Equation 2,
• I004 indicates the area of the peak representing a (004) crystal surface of a carbon-based negative electrode active material in an X-ray diffraction spectroscopy XRD analysis of the first negative electrode active layer,
• I110 indicates the area of the peak representing a (110) crystal surface of a carbon-based negative electrode active material in an X-ray diffraction spectroscopy XRD analysis of the first negative electrode active layer,
• O.I1st indicates an orientation index of the first carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in the first negative electrode active layer, and
• O.I2nd indicates an orientation index of the second carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in the second negative electrode active layer.
