An electrode plate for secondary batteries, the electrode plate including an electrode current collector and an active material layer coated on at least one surface of the electrode current collector. The active material layer includes a concave portion disposed in a pattern on at least a part of the active material layer.

- an electrode current collector;
- and
- an active material layer coated on at least one surface of the electrode current collector,
- wherein the active material layer includes a concave portion disposed in a pattern on at least a part of the active material layer.
