Abstract
A promises-tracking device and method thereof is provided, wherein the promises-tracking device is configured to allow a participant to generate a physical activation signal through an activator thereof when each of a plurality of viable promises is made by the participant and to form a promise chain of the plurality of viable promises in order and store in a memory module thereof. The promise chain is broken when an input of a broken promise is selected by the participant via one of an excused broken promise button and an unexcused broken promise button of an input device of the promises-tracking device is received and determined, wherein only an unexcused broken promise is broken has a negative effect on a promise score of the participant.
Claims20
A promises-tracking device which is a program operated electronic device for forming a promise chain of a plurality of viable promises of a participant and a promise score for tracking the plurality of viable promises of the participant, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- an input device comprising an excused broken promise button, an unexcused broken promise button, a time setter configured for setting promise times of the plurality of viable promises, an activator configured for the participant to generate a physical activation signal when each of the plurality of viable promises is made by the participant, wherein the excused broken promise button and the unexcused broken promise button are configured to be selectively inputted for an input of a broken promise when one of the plurality of viable promises is broken;
- at least one memory module stored program to instruct the at least one processor to receive a plurality of viable promises inputted by the participant through the input device in a chainlike manner and store the plurality of viable promises to form the promise chain on the at least one memory module;
- and
- a screen configured to display the physical activation signal generated through the activator of the input device to notify while the viable promises is sealed in the promise chain, the setting promise times, in response to the plurality of viable promises of the promise chain in a numbering order in the memory module, being set via the time setter, a notification when the promise times are up, and a level of sureness of the participant graphically for the participant to view and periodically for monitoring the level of the sureness of the participant, wherein when the unexcused broken promise button is selectively inputted for the input of the broken promise while one of the plurality of viable promises is broken, the promise chain is then broken to have a negative effect on the promise score of the participant, which is determined and generated regarding the promise chain and displayed via the screen, wherein a level of sureness.
A promises-tracking method for forming a promise chain and a promise score for tracking a plurality of viable promises from a participant, executed by a program operated electronic device which comprises a screen, an activator, at least one memory module, and an input device including a time setter, an excused broken promise button and an unexcused broken promise button, wherein the promises-tracking method comprises steps of:
- (a) recording the plurality of viable promises made by the participant in a chainlike manner through the input device of the program operated electronic device to form the promise chain and storing the plurality of viable promises of the promise chain on the memory module of the program operated electronic device;
- (b) generating a physical activation signal through the activator of the program operated electronic device to notify while the viable promises is sealed in the promise chain;
- (c) in response to setting promise times of the plurality of viable promises by the participant via the time setter of the input device of the program operated electronic device, numbering the viable promises in an order in the memory module;
- (d) selectively notifying the participant via the program operated electronic device when the promise times are up;
- (e) determining and generating a promise score of the participant regarding the promise chain, which is an incentive to motivate the participant to keep the promise score as high as possible, wherein when one of the viable promises is broken, the promise chain is then broken;
- (f) determining whether one of the plurality of viable promises being broken is an excused broken promise or an unexcused broken promise when one of the excused broken promise button and the unexcused broken promise button is selected to input by the participant, wherein only the unexcused broken promise is broken has a negative effect on the promise score;
- and
- (g) providing a level of sureness of the participant on the screen, wherein the level of sureness of the participant is indicated graphically on the screen of the program operated electronic device for the participant to view and displayed periodically on the screen of the program operated electronic device for monitoring the level of sureness of the participant.
