Abstract
Methods of treatment based on a prognosis as determined utilizing a Bayesian framework are provided. Clinical data is utilized within a Bayesian framework to obtain a prognosis of a medical disorder. A prognosis can be updated utilizing a Bayesian framework when subsequent clinical data is acquired, such as clinical data acquired during a treatment or clinical monitoring.

A method of treating an individual suffering from a disorder, comprising administering a treatment to the individual having a medical disorder assessment, wherein the medical disorder assessment comprises a plurality of sets of clinical data obtained throughout a course of the disorder, wherein the medical disorder assessment comprises a Bayesian framework assessment based on:
- (i) the plurality of sets of clinical data comprising a plurality of outcome predictors, and
- (ii) a set of prior knowledge of a performance of each of the plurality of outcome predictors as established from a) prior literature or b) the plurality of sets of clinical data;
- and
- wherein the plurality of sets of clinical data comprises an initial set of clinical data of the individual obtained prior to an initial treatment of the individual and a subsequent set of clinical data obtained after the initial treatment.
