Abstract

This sensing method is performed by a camera that captures an image of at least one sensing region. In this sensing method: an image of a region including a sensing region is captured; a non-object to be sensed and an object to be sensed in the captured image are sensed; a sensing continuation time for the object to be sensed in the sensing region is measured on the basis of a non-sensing pixel in which the non-object to be sensed is sensed and a sensing pixel in which the object to be sensed is sensed; and, if it is determined that the sensing continuation time is greater than or equal to a predetermined time, an alarm indicating that the object to be sensed has been sensed in the sensing region is generated and output.

Dependent claims

A detection method executed by a camera that captures an image of at least one detection region, the detection method comprising:

capturing an image of a region including the detection region;
detecting a non-detection target and a detection target appearing in the captured image;
measuring detection duration of the detection target in the detection region based on non-detection pixels in which the non-detection target is detected and detection pixels in which the detection target is detected;
and
generating and outputting an alarm indicating that the detection target is detected in the detection region when the detection duration is determined to be equal to or longer than a prescribed time.
