Abstract
A system to manage a wardrobe and compile outfits includes a server computing device that includes a memory having stored thereon demographic data and a plurality of electronic fashion item models. Each electronic fashion item model is indicative of a fashion item. The electronic fashion item model includes a fashion item type and a fashion item color scheme. The electronic fashion item model is associated with one or more style genres. The system includes an application configured to, when executed by at least one processor, compile at least one virtual outfit. Each virtual outfit includes at least one electronic fashion item model. Each virtual outfit is compiled based on A) a selected event, B) the particular user's demographic data, and C) style genres.
Claims20
A method for generating contextual fashion recommendations performed by one or more computing devices, the method comprising:
- accessing, by the one or more computing devices, calendar data associated with a user to identify a planned travel occasion;
- obtaining, by the one or more computing devices, contextual factors for the planned travel occasion, the contextual factors including at least one of a destination location, a travel duration, and a predicted weather context for the destination location;
- automatically identifying, by the one or more computing devices, a plurality of events associated with the planned travel occasion based on the calendar data;
- determining, by the one or more computing devices, a dressiness level for each of the plurality of events based on an event type and a style genre associated with the user;
- generating, by the one or more computing devices, a suggested virtual outfit for each of the plurality of events based on the contextual factors and the dressiness level;
- and
- outputting, by the one or more computing devices and for presentation in a user interface, a graphical guide for packing a plurality of physical fashion items corresponding to the suggested virtual outfits, the graphical guide including instructions to optimize space within a luggage piece based on a weight and a material type of each physical fashion item.
A system for generating contextual fashion recommendations, the system comprising:
- a hardware memory device storing a plurality of fashion item models;
- and
- one or more computing devices configured to interact with the hardware memory device and execute stored instructions that, upon execution, cause the one or more computing devices to perform operations including:
- accessing calendar data associated with a user to identify a planned travel occasion;
- obtaining contextual factors for the planned travel occasion, the contextual factors including at least one of a destination location, a travel duration, and a predicted weather context for the destination location;
- automatically identifying a plurality of events associated with the planned travel occasion based on the calendar data;
- determining a dressiness level for each of the plurality of events based on an event type and a style genre associated with the user;
- generating a suggested virtual outfit for each of the plurality of events based on the contextual factors and the dressiness level;
- and
- outputting, for presentation in a user interface, a graphical guide for packing a plurality of physical fashion items corresponding to the suggested virtual outfits, the graphical guide including instructions to optimize space within a luggage piece based on a weight and a material type of each physical fashion item.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, upon execution by one or more computing devices, cause the one or more computing devices to perform operations including:
- accessing calendar data associated with a user to identify a planned travel occasion;
- obtaining contextual factors for the planned travel occasion, the contextual factors including at least one of a destination location, a travel duration, and a predicted weather context for the destination location;
- automatically identifying a plurality of events associated with the planned travel occasion based on the calendar data;
- determining a dressiness level for each of the plurality of events based on an event type and a style genre associated with the user;
- generating a suggested virtual outfit for each of the plurality of events based on the contextual factors and the dressiness level;
- and
- outputting, for presentation in a user interface, a graphical guide for packing a plurality of physical fashion items corresponding to the suggested virtual outfits, the graphical guide including instructions to optimize space within a luggage piece based on a weight and a material type of each physical fashion item.
