A terminal device, comprising:

• a non-transitory memory, at least one processor, and a computer program that is stored in the memory and that is executable by the at least one processor, wherein when executing the computer program, the at least one processor is configured to perform:
• after receiving screen projection request information sent by a source device, obtain first window data of a first application enabled by the source device, wherein the first window data comprises display content corresponding to a first window opened in the first application, wherein the first window is not displayed on the source device before the first window data is received, and wherein in the first window data a window component of the first window is in an active state, and a layer of the window component of the first window is in a visible state;
• and
• display a third window in a first area of a display interface of the terminal device, wherein the third window is used to display window content corresponding to the first window, and wherein the third window is a user-operable window.
