Method and apparatus for measuring face form angle of spectacles and computer program product

A method for measuring a face form angle of spectacles, comprising:

• arranging the spectacles, which have a first spectacle lens and a second spectacle lens, on a spectacle receptacle;
• scanning the spectacle lens surfaces of both spectacle lenses of the spectacles using a scanner for generating first surface position data points of the first spectacle lens and second surface position data points of the second spectacle lens;
• mirroring the first surface position data points of the first spectacle lens onto the second surface position data points of the second spectacle lens with respect to a central plane between the two spectacle lenses such that the first and second surface position data points of both spectacle lenses are superimposed;
• ascertaining a fitting function as a surface function through the superimposed surface position data points of both spectacle lenses;
• and
• ascertaining the face form angle using the surface function through the superimposed surface position data points of both spectacle lenses.

An apparatus for measuring a face form angle of spectacles, comprising:

• a spectacle receptacle to receive the spectacles which have a first spectacle lens and a second spectacle lens;
• a scanner to scan the spectacle lens surfaces of both spectacle lenses of the spectacles arranged on the spectacle receptacle and to generate first surface position data points of the first spectacle lens and second surface position data points of the second spectacle lens;
• a mirroring module to mirror the first surface position data points of the first spectacle lens onto the second surface position data points of the second spectacle lens with respect to a central plane between the two spectacle lenses such that the first and second surface position data points of both spectacle lenses are superimposed;
• a fitting function ascertaining module to ascertain a fitting function as a surface function through the superimposed surface position data points of both spectacle lenses;
• and
• a face form angle ascertaining module to ascertain the face form angle using the surface function through the superimposed surface position data points of both spectacle lenses.
