The present disclosure relates to a novel variant polypeptide; a polynucleotide encoding the variant polypeptide; a microorganism, which comprises the variant polypeptide, the polynucleotide encoding the variant polypeptide, or a vector comprising the polynucleotide; a method for producing L-glutamic acid, comprising culturing the microorganism in a medium; and use of the variant polypeptide or microorganism for the production of L-glutamic acid.
