Abstract
The present invention relates to a nutritional composition containing selected probiotic bacteria which are lactic acid bacteria which survive in the gastrointestinal environment and are suitable to improve the digestibility of food components.

A mixture of the probiotic bacteria selected from the group consisting of Lactobacillus plantarum IT1 deposited at DSMZ with accession number DSM 33940, Lactobacillus plantarum K2 deposited at DSMZ with accession number DSM 33941 and Lactobacillus paracasei 31a deposited at DSMZ with accession number DSM 33942.
A Lactobacillus plantarum strain, wherein said strain is chosen from the group consisting of Lactobacillus plantarum IT1 deposited at DSMZ with accession number DSM 33940 and Lactobacillus plantarum K2 deposited at DSMZ with accession number DSM 33941.
