Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method for producing L-cysteine hydrochloride hydrate crystals having a controlled particle size, and L-cysteine hydrochloride hydrate crystals having a controlled particle size produced by the production method.
Claims12
A method for producing L-cysteine hydrochloride hydrate crystals having a controlled particle size, comprising:
- (a) an initial hydrochloric acid addition step for adjusting the initial molar ratio of hydrochloric acid to L-cysteine (HCl/L-cysteine) by adding hydrochloric acid to a solution containing L-cysteine;
- (b) a concentration step for concentrating the solution to which the hydrochloric acid has been added to obtain a concentrate;
- (c) an additional hydrochloric acid addition step for adjusting the final molar ratio of hydrochloric acid to L-cysteine (HCl/L-cysteine) by additionally adding hydrochloric acid to the concentrate;
- and
- (d) a recovering step for recovering L-cysteine hydrochloride hydrate crystals from the concentrate to which the hydrochloric acid has been additionally added.
