A catalyst for microwave reforming of hydrocarbons, comprising:
- a catalyst body comprising a catalyst material, wherein the catalyst body has a three-dimensional structure, and wherein the three-dimensional structure is configured to form a localized thermal hot spot within the catalyst body or on a surface of the catalyst body when subjected to microwave energy.
