Abstract
An occupant monitoring system comprises a camera arranged on a first side of a display of a vehicle, wherein a field of view of the camera is directed towards and passes through the display, and a liquid crystal lens, wherein the liquid crystal lens is arranged between the camera and the display, or the display is arranged between the camera and the liquid crystal lens, and the field of view of the camera is directed towards and passes through the liquid crystal lens, the liquid crystal lens is configured to alter the field of view of the camera by steering an incident beam from a second side of the display at a desired angle towards the camera.

An occupant monitoring system comprises:
- a camera arranged on a first side of a display of a vehicle, wherein a field of view of the camera is directed towards and passes through the display;
- and
- a liquid crystal lens, wherein
- the liquid crystal lens is arranged between the camera and the display, or the display is arranged between the camera and the liquid crystal lens, and the field of view of the camera is directed towards and passes through the liquid crystal lens,
- the liquid crystal lens is configured to alter the field of view of the camera by steering an incident beam from a second side of the display at a desired angle towards the camera.
