A protective shield for car splitters including a panel configured to shield the lower horizontal surface of a respective splitter of a car, as well as provided with a rear edge, an attachment mechanism for attaching the panel to the splitter, and a lock mechanism arranged in the rear edge of the panel to hold the panel in position attached to the splitter.
Claims13
Protective shield for car splitters, comprising:
- a panel suitably configured to shield the lower horizontal surface of a respective splitter of a car, as well as provided with a rear edge;
- attachment means for attaching said panel to the splitter above;
- and
- locking means arranged in the rear edge of the panel to keep said panel in position attached to the splitter;
- wherein the attachment means comprise at least one hook that is suitably shaped to exactly embrace and accommodate correspondent front and/or side edges of the splitter of the car in such a manner to prevent the detachment of the shield from the splitter;
- wherein the locking means comprise a pair of vertical projections suitably configured for being engaged and anchored in undercuts of the bottom of the car or in the front wheel wells of the car;
- wherein each vertical projection comprises a face directed towards the at least one hook of the attachment means and suitable for going in contact against a front surface of the undercut of the bottom of the car or against a front surface of the wheel well in such a manner as to prevent a forward sliding movement of the shield relative to the splitter.
