Grinding tool

A grinding tool comprising:

• a main body including a head portion;
• an electric motor;
• an output shaft configured for transmitting torque received from the electric motor;
• a grinding disk attached to the output shaft and configured for rotation therewith about a grinding disk rotational axis;
• a dust shroud assembly at least partially surrounding the grinding disk, the dust shroud assembly including an outer shroud and an inner shroud rotatable relative to the outer shroud, and
• a rotatable adjustment ring defining an adjustment ring axis, the adjustment ring including a handle configured to allow a user to rotate the adjustment ring about the adjustment ring axis to adjust an axial position of the dust shroud assembly along the grinding disk rotational axis, wherein:
• the outer shroud includes an upstanding hub portion rotationally affixed to the head portion of the main body, the hub portion at least partially configured as a cylinder defining a hub portion axis, the hub portion having external threads,
• the adjustment ring includes internal threads configured to mate with the external threads on the hub portion such that rotation of the adjustment ring results in axial movement of the dust shroud assembly along the grinding disk rotational axis, and
• the adjustment ring includes a plurality of adjustment ring detent recesses positioned around an outside of the adjustment ring on an opposite and radially external side of the adjustment ring from the internal threads.
