Abstract
The present invention relates to a device for machining a component by means of electrochemical machining, the device comprising a machining cathode for electrochemically removing material from the component, a component holder for holding the component during the machining, and a positioning unit for moving the machining cathode relative to the component holder. The component holder and the positioning unit are movable relative to each other in a penetration direction of the machining cathode, the machining cathode is additionally laterally movable by means of the positioning unit, i.e., at an angle to the penetration direction and the positioning unit has a linear drive, by means of which the lateral movability is implemented.
Claims15
A device for machining a component by electrochemical machining, comprising:
- a machining cathode configured and arranged for the electrochemical removal of material from the component,
- a component holder configured and arranged for the holding of the component during the machining, and
- a positioning unit configured and arranged for the movement of the machining cathode relative to the component holder,
- wherein the component holder and the positioning unit are moved relative to each other in a penetration direction of the machining cathode,
- wherein the machining cathode with the positioning unit is additionally moved laterally at an angle to the penetration direction, and
- wherein the positioning unit has a linear drive (13), by which its lateral movability is implemented.
A method for machining a component by electrochemical machining, wherein a machining cathode is used for the electrochemical removal of material from the component,
- moving the component and the machining cathode relative to each other in a penetration direction of the machining cathode, and
- by use of a positioning unit on which the machining cathode is arranged, moving the machining cathode laterally by a linear drive of the positioning unit at an angle to the penetration direction.
