Abstract
A hollow fiber membrane having biocompatibility stable for a long time, and containing, as a main component, polymethylpentene having excellent gas permeability in the membrane; and a method of producing the hollow fiber membrane. A hollow fiber membrane including polymethylpentene as a main component, and having a dense surface having a hydrophilic polymer immobilized therein, wherein the thickness of a layer containing the hydrophilic polymer is 1.0 nm or more and 25.0 nm or less.

A hollow fiber membrane comprising polymethylpentene as a main component, and having a dense surface having a hydrophilic polymer immobilized thereon,
- wherein the thickness of a layer containing said hydrophilic polymer is 1.0 nm or more and 25.0 nm or less.
