Abstract
A medical device capable of preventing an excessive clearance from being formed with an inner wall of a delivery device when a puncture device is delivered to a target site in a living body, and capable of easily and smoothly performing protrusion of the puncture device from a first lumen of an outer sheath and accommodation of the puncture device into the first lumen of the outer sheath by operating forward and backward movement of a hand handle portion. The medical device is configured to be retractably inserted into a channel of an insertion portion of an endoscope, and includes a puncture device, an outer sheath into which the puncture device is inserted, and a hand handle portion disposed on a proximal end side of the puncture device and the outer sheath.
Claims20
A medical device that is retractably inserted into a delivery device, the medical device comprising:
- a puncture device;
- an outer sheath into which the puncture device is insertable;
- and
- a hand handle portion disposed on a proximal end side of the puncture device and the outer sheath, wherein
- the outer sheath includes a first surface defining a first lumen into which the puncture device is insertable, and a second surface defining at least one second lumen between the first surface and the second surface, and
- the hand handle portion includes a first connection portion connected to the outer sheath, and a second connection portion connected to at least a part of the puncture device and configured to move forward and backward with respect to the first connection portion to cause a distal end of the puncture device to protrude from a distal end of the outer sheath.
A medical device that is retractably inserted into a delivery device, the medical device comprising:
- a puncture device;
- an outer sheath into which the puncture device is insertable;
- and
- wherein the outer sheath includes a first surface defining a first lumen into which the puncture device is insertable, and a second surface defining at least one second lumen between the first surface and the second surface, and wherein a distal end of the puncture device is configured to protrude from a distal end of the outer sheath upon movement of a first connection portion connected to the outer sheath with respect to a second connection portion connected to at least a part of the puncture device.
A method of administering a drug solution to a target site in a living body of a patient comprising:
- inserting an endoscope into the living body of the patient;
- connecting a drug solution supply to a first port of a handle of a medical device and feeding a drug solution from to drug solution supply to prime the medical device, the medical device including a puncture device, an outer sheath into which the puncture device is insertable, and the handle disposed on a proximal end side of the puncture device and the outer sheath, wherein the outer sheath includes a first surface defining a first lumen into which the puncture device is insertable, and a second surface defining at least one second lumen between the first surface and the second surface, and the handle includes a first connection portion connected to the outer sheath, and a second connection portion connected to at least a part of the puncture device;
- adjusting an effective length of the medical device to correspond to an effective length of an insertion portion of the endoscope;
- inserting the medical device into a channel of the insertion portion of the endoscope;
- delivering the medical device to the target site via the insertion portion of the endoscope;
- and
- locally administering the drug solution to the target site by releasing the drug solution supplied to the puncture lumen to an outside of the needle tube portion via the hole portion.
