Surgical drain stripper device

An apparatus comprising:

• a first arm, wherein
• the first arm comprises
• a first end of the first arm, and
• a second of the first arm;
• a first compression mechanism, mechanically coupled to the first arm;
• a second arm comprising a first end and a second end;
• and
• the second arm comprises
• a first end of the second arm, and
• a second end of the second arm;
• a second compression mechanism, mechanically coupled to the second arm, wherein
• the first arm and the second arm are mechanically coupled to one another at the first end of the first arm and the first end of the second arm,
• the first compression mechanism is disposed in relation to the first end of the first arm and the second end of the first arm, and the second compression mechanism is disposed in relation to the first end of the second arm and the second end of the second arm, such that, when the second end of the first arm and the second end of the second arm are brought sufficiently close to one another, the first compression mechanism and the second compression mechanism are configured to apply compressive pressure to a surgical drain tube positioned therebetween, and
• the first compression mechanism and the second compression mechanism are configured to allow the apparatus to be moved along the surgical drain tube while applying the compressive pressure to the surgical drain tube.
