Abstract
A recombinant vector for targeting kidney cells comprising a targeting peptide. Also, a nucleic acid encoding a recombinant adeno associated virus (AAV) capsid and a recombinant adeno associated capsid protein comprising the targeting peptide are contemplated. Also, recombinant vectors for use as a medicament and for the use in the treatment of kidney diseases.

A recombinant vector for targeting to kidney cells, comprising a targeting peptide comprising the sequence GGNYXX, wherein each X at position 5 to 6 is independently selected from any naturally occurring amino acid.
