A method of preventing, treating or ameliorating a disease or condition associated with Streptococcus pneumoniae infection in a human subject, comprising administering to said subject an immunologically effective amount of a 21-valent immunogenic composition comprising glycoconjugates of capsular polysaccharide from Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 8, 9N, 9V, 10A, 11A, 12F, 14, 15B, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F and 33F individually conjugated to a carrier protein, wherein the carrier protein of the glycoconjugates respectively comprising capsular polysaccharide of serotypes 8, 10A, 11A, 12F and 33F is CRM197, and wherein the carrier protein of the glycoconjugates respectively comprising capsular saccharide of serotypes 15B and 22F is tetanus toxoid.
