Abstract
The disclosure relates to certain compounds that can be consumed by a subject to modulate and/or increase mixtures of ether lipid molecules, such as plasmalogens, in immune cells of the subject. The disclosure further relates to compositions and/or formulations comprising said compounds, compositions and/or formulations comprising at least two compounds, and uses thereof.
Claims99
A composition for increasing in vivo ether lipids in immune cells comprising a mixture of two or more ether lipid molecules of Compound 1:
- wherein
- R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group;
- R2 is hydrogen or
- R3 is hydrogen,
- R2a and R3a are each an alkyl or alkenyl group;
- and
- R4 is —N(Me)3+ or —NH3+.
A composition for increasing in vivo ether lipids in immune cells comprising a mixture of two or more ether lipid molecules of Compound 1A:
- wherein
- R is an alkyl or alkenyl group;
- wherein the alkyl or alkenyl group is a C1-C30 alkyl, or C1-C30 alkenyl chain.
