Abstract

An absorbent article (1) includes a top sheet (2), a back sheet (3) and an absorbent body (4) disposed therebetween. The top sheet (2) includes thick parts (21) and thin parts (22) that extend in parallel in the front-rear direction and are arranged alternately in the width direction. The thick parts (21) and the thin parts (22) extend from a portion overlapping with the absorbent body (4) to positions forward beyond a front edge (41) of the absorbent body (4) and to positions rearward beyond a rear edge (42) of the absorbent body (4). The top sheet has a skin-facing surface (23) and a non-skin-facing surface (24) with the thin parts (22) that are recessed relative to the thick parts (21) on both the skin-facing and the non-skin-facing surfaces (23)(24). The thickness of the thick part (21) is 3 to 15 times the thickness of the thin part (22).
