A hinge featuring a first hinge cover and a second hinge cover that can be utilized by an orthosis. Moveable in a first and second rotational direction, the first hinge cover includes a first base component and a first arm component extending therefrom. The second hinge cover includes a second base component and a second arm component extending from the second base component. Like the first hinge cover, the second hinge cover is configured to rotate in the first rotational direction and the second rotational direction. Concurrent rotational movement of the first hinge cover and the second hinge cover in the first rotational direction places a central unit, inclusive of the hinge covers and any removable stop component, into a locked state and concurrent rotational movement of the first hinge cover and the second hinge cover in the second rotational direction places the central unit into an unlocked state.
