Abstract
The disclosure is directed to knee braces and methods of making and using the same. A knee brace configured to be attached to a leg of a user, the knee brace comprising: (A) a left side assembly including: a left upper cheek; a left lower cheek; a left offset hinge that rotatably connects the left upper cheek to the left lower cheek, so as to be hinged about a first hinge axis; (B) a right side assembly including: a right upper cheek; a right lower cheek; a right offset hinge that rotatably connects the right upper cheek to the right lower cheek, so as to be hinged about the first hinge axis; (C) a first upper strap; (D) a second upper strap, (E) a third lower strap; and (F) a fourth lower strap.

A knee brace configured to be attached to a leg of a user, the knee brace comprising:
- a left side assembly, the left side assembly including:
- a left upper cheek configured to engage with an upper leg of the user;
- a left lower cheek configured to engage with a lower leg of the user;
- a left offset hinge that rotatably connects the left upper cheek to the left lower cheek, so as to be hinged about a first hinge axis;
- a right side assembly, the right side assembly including:
- a right upper cheek configured to engage with the upper leg of the user;
- a right lower cheek configured to engage with the lower leg of the user;
- a right offset hinge that rotatably connects the right upper cheek to the right lower cheek, so as to be hinged about the first hinge axis;
- a first upper strap connected to the left upper cheek and the right upper cheek, the first upper strap configured to encircle the upper leg of the user;
- a second upper strap connected to the left upper cheek and the right upper cheek, the second upper strap configured to encircle the upper leg of the user,
- a third lower strap connected to the left lower cheek and the right lower cheek, the third lower strap configured to encircle the lower leg of the user;
- a fourth lower strap connected to the left lower cheek and the right lower cheek, the fourth lower strap configured to encircle the lower leg of the user.
A knee brace configured to be attached to a leg of a user, the knee brace comprising:
- a left side assembly, the left side assembly including:
- a left upper cheek configured to engage with an upper leg of the user;
- a left lower cheek configured to engage with a lower leg of the user;
- a left offset hinge that rotatably connects the left upper cheek to the left lower cheek, so as to be hinged about a first hinge axis;
- a right side assembly, the right side assembly including:
- a right upper cheek configured to engage with the upper leg of the user;
- a right lower cheek configured to engage with the lower leg of the user;
- a right offset hinge that rotatably connects the right upper cheek to the right lower cheek, so as to be hinged about the first hinge axis;
- a first upper strap connected to the left upper cheek and the right upper cheek, the first upper strap configured to encircle the upper leg of the user;
- and
- a first lower strap connected to the left lower cheek and the right lower cheek, the third lower strap configured to encircle the lower leg of the user.
