Abstract
An apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible backing, a flexible circuit, and a first sensor. The first sensor includes a first electrocardiographic electrode and a second electrocardiographic electrode, the first electrocardiographic electrode and the second electrocardiographic electrode are configured to sense electrocardiographic signals. The apparatus further includes a monitor recorder and a second sensor. The second sensor is configured to sense a physiological parameter different from the electrocardiographic signals.
Claims20
A wearable electrocardiography and physiological device, comprising:
- a housing configured to be removably worn by a user;
- a strip of material, wherein the housing is removable from the strip of material;
- a microcontroller disposed within the housing;
- two ECG electrodes configured to capture electrical signals from the user, wherein at least one of the two ECG electrodes is located along a bottom surface of the wearable electrocardiography and physiological device, wherein the strip of material is configured to maintain electrical contact between at least one of the two ECG electrodes and the user's skin;
- an SpO2 sensor;
- an accelerometer, disposed within the housing;
- a temperature sensor, disposed within the housing;
- wherein the microcontroller is configured to receive a signal, representative of the electrical signals from the user, originating at least one of the two ECG electrodes,
- wherein the microcontroller is configured to receive a signal originating from the SpO2 sensor,
- wherein the microcontroller is configured to receive a signal originating from the accelerometer,
- wherein the microcontroller is configured to receive a signal originating from the temperature sensor,
- wherein a top surface of the wearable electrocardiography and physiological device is configured to receive feedback from the user, and
- wherein the wearable electrocardiography and physiological device is configured to wirelessly communicate with a mobile communications device and transmit physiological data to an application executing on the mobile communications device.
