A wearable impact protection airbag. The airbag comprises a pair of superimposed woven fabric layers which are interconnected by a peripheral seam to define an inflatable chamber for the receipt of inflating gas between the fabric layers. The peripheral seam defines at least part of a periphery of the inflatable chamber. The airbag comprises a securing arrangement configured to secure the airbag around a body part of a wearer, and the securing arrangement is connected directly to the fabric of the airbag. The airbag has an initial uninflated condition and is configured to transition to a deployed and inflated condition via inflation, said uninflated condition comprising at least one fold in the airbag, the airbag being configured to unfold during said inflation to cover a greater extent of a wearer's body part in said inflated condition than in said uninflated condition.
A wearable impact protection airbag, the airbag being a fabric airbag comprising a pair of superimposed woven fabric layers interconnected by a peripheral seam to define an inflatable chamber for the receipt of inflating gas between the fabric layers, the peripheral seam defining at least part of a periphery of the inflatable chamber, wherein the airbag further comprises a securing arrangement configured to secure the airbag around a body part of a wearer, wherein the securing arrangement is connected directly to the fabric of the airbag, and wherein the airbag has an initial uninflated condition and is configured to transition to a deployed and inflated condition via inflation, said uninflated condition comprising at least one fold in the airbag, the airbag being configured to unfold during said inflation to cover a greater extent of a wearer's body part in said inflated condition than in said uninflated condition.
