Aerosol-generating article with reduced bulk wrapper

An aerosol-generating article, comprising:

• an aerosol-forming section comprising:
• a rod of aerosol-generating substrate, the aerosol-generating substrate comprising at least 5 percent by weight of aerosol former on a dry weight basis of the aerosol-generating substrate,
• an upstream section located upstream of the rod of aerosol-generating substrate, and
• an intermediate section located downstream of the rod of aerosol-generating substrate, the intermediate section comprising one or more hollow tubular elements;
• a mouthpiece element located downstream of the aerosol-forming section;
• and
• at least two wrappers comprising:
• a first wrapper circumscribing only the aerosol-forming section, the first wrapper having a bulk of between 0.75 cubic centimetres per gram and 1.42 cubic centimetres per gram, and
• a second wrapper circumscribing at least part of the mouthpiece element,
• wherein each of the first wrapper and the second wrapper form at least part of an outer surface of the aerosol-generating article,
• wherein the first wrapper is in direct physical contact with the intermediate section,
• wherein the second wrapper has a second wrapper length along a longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating article and the aerosol-generating article has an article length along the longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating article, and
• wherein the second wrapper length is greater than or equal to 70 percent of the article length.
