Infant formula composition and methods of manufacture

A baby formula composition comprising:

• water;
• at least one goat milk isolate or goat milk derivative;
• added lactose;
• one or more added oils that provide at least one of oleic acid or medium-chain fatty acids and which are selected from the group consisting of coconut oil, sunflower oil, marine-sourced oil, cranberry seed oil, chia seed oil, safflower oil, and soy oil;
• and
• a plurality of nutritional additives selected from the group consisting of calcium phosphate, arachidonic acid (ARA), decosahexaenoic acid (DHA), oleic acid, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate, choline bitartrate, inositol, ascorbic acid, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, d-alpha tocopherol succinate, vitamin K, medium chain triglycerides, pantothenic acid, retinyl acetate, cholecalciferol, biotin, copper sulfate, niacinamide, selenium aspartate, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, manganese sulfate, cyanocobalamin, potassium iodide and folic acid,
• wherein the composition omits sheep milk, and
• wherein the composition omits carbohydrates other than carbohydrates provided by the at least one goat milk isolate or goat milk derivative, the lactose, and optional natural sugars.

A baby formula composition comprising:

• at least one goat milk isolate or goat milk derivative at a concentration of approximately 40% to 80% by weight of the composition;
• added lactose, wherein a weight ratio of the at least one goat milk isolate or goat milk derivative to the added lactose is in a range of about 1.5:1 to about 14:1;
• one or more added oils that provide at least one of oleic acid or medium-chain fatty acids and which are selected from the group consisting of coconut oil, sunflower oil, marine-sourced oil, cranberry seed oil, chia seed oil, safflower oil, and soy oil, wherein a weight ratio of goat milk isolate or derivative to the one or more added oils is in a range of about 1.9:1 to about 25:1;
• and
• a plurality of nutritional additives selected from the group consisting of calcium phosphate, arachidonic acid (ARA), decosahexaenoic acid (DHA), oleic acid, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate, choline bitartrate, inositol, ascorbic acid, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, d-alpha tocopherol succinate, vitamin K, medium chain triglycerides, pantothenic acid, retinyl acetate, cholecalciferol, biotin, copper sulfate, niacinamide, selenium aspartate, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, manganese sulfate, cyanocobalamin, potassium iodide and folic acid,
• wherein the composition omits sheep milk,
• wherein the composition omits fucoidan and derivatives thereof,
• wherein the composition is a powder composition that can be added to water, liquid, or food.
