Abstract
Devices, systems, and methods for preventing or minimizing encounters with dangerous animals, such as toad canes. The devices, systems, and methods may include barrier panels secured to a structure, such as a fence defining an area to be protected.
Claims19
A method of preventing or minimizing animal encounters within a predefined area, comprising:
- providing an animal prevention barrier system constructed and arranged to prevent or minimize entrance of said animals within said predefined area;
- to a preexisting fence enclosing said predefined area and having an upper edge and a lower edge, securing an animal prevention barrier system thereto;
- if no preexisting fence encloses said predefined area, fencing said predefined area with a new fence structure having an upper edge and a lower edge to enclose said predefined area and securing said animal prevention barrier system thereto;
- said animal prevention barrier system being secured to said preexisting fence or said new fence so that at least a portion of said prevention barrier system extends below a bottom edge of said preexisting fence or said new fence and into the ground supporting said preexisting fence or said new fence and a portion of said prevention barrier system extends towards said upper edge.
