Livestock restraining and management system with trained sensory signaling

A system for management of a plurality of livestock animals, the system comprising:

• a plurality of restraining devices for restraining livestock animals, each restraining device having at least one open configuration and at least one closed configuration and comprising:
• at least one opening configured to allow passage of an upper part of a body of a livestock animal when the restraining device is in the open configuration;
• a locking mechanism having a locked state and an unlocked state, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to switch the restraining device between the open configuration and the closed configuration;
• an animal identification element configured to identify individual livestock animals;
• a local controller in communication with the animal identification element and the locking mechanism;
• a local computer comprising data storage, the local computer in communication with the local controller and the animal identification element;
• and
• at least one signaling element, in communication with the local controller, the signaling element configured to generate a sensory output recognizable by the livestock animal;
• a centralized operation center comprising a data storage, processor and a main controller, in communication with the plurality of restraining devices;
• a user interface in communication with the operation center;
• and
• a training module in communication with the operation center, the training module configured to train each of the livestock animals to recognize a respective unique sensory output and to implement a corresponding predefined action in response thereto;
• and
• wherein the signaling element of each restraining device is configured to generate animal-specific sensory outputs, to direct identified livestock animals to implement a predefined action.
