Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for allowed total power reduction. An apparatus is configured to define an extended channel bandwidth for a user equipment (UE); determine one or more channel emissions constraints associated with the extended channel bandwidth; determine an additional emissions constraint; define a maximum power reduction (MPR) for one or more transmissions based on the extended channel bandwidth and the one or more channel emissions constraints and an additional MPR (A-MPR) based on the additional emissions constraint; and communicate in accordance with the MPR and the A-MPR for the one or more transmissions.

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to:
- define an extended channel bandwidth for the UE;
- determine one or more channel emissions constraints associated with the extended channel bandwidth;
- determine an additional emissions constraint;
- define a maximum power reduction (MPR) for one or more transmissions based on the extended channel bandwidth and the one or more channel emissions constraints and an additional MPR (A-MPR) based on the additional emissions constraint;
- and
- communicate in accordance with the MPR and the A-MPR for the one or more transmissions.
A processor for wireless communication, comprising:
- at least one controller coupled with at least one memory and configured to cause the processor to:
- define an extended channel bandwidth for the UE;
- determine one or more channel emissions constraints associated with the extended channel bandwidth;
- determine an additional emissions constraint;
- define a maximum power reduction (MPR) for one or more transmissions based on the extended channel bandwidth and the one or more channel emissions constraints and an additional MPR (A-MPR) based on the additional emissions constraint;
- and
- communicate in accordance with the MPR and the A-MPR for the one or more transmissions.
A method of a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- defining an extended channel bandwidth for the UE;
- determining one or more channel emissions constraints associated with the extended channel bandwidth;
- determining an additional emissions constraint;
- defining a maximum power reduction (MPR) for one or more transmissions based on the extended channel bandwidth and the one or more channel emissions constraints and an additional MPR (A-MPR) based on the additional emissions constraint;
- and
- communicating in accordance with the MPR and the A-MPR for the one or more transmissions.
A network equipment (NE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the NE to:
- determine an allowed maximum power reduction (MPR) for a user equipment (UE) based on an extended channel bandwidth;
- determine an allowed additional MPR (A-MPR) for the UE based on additional emissions constraints;
- determine a lower bound on a maximum configured power for a resource block allocation based on the allowed MPR and the allowed A-MPR;
- and
- communicate the lower bound on the maximum configured power for the resource block allocation.
