Abstract
Systems and methods are described for global bandwidth-aware adaptive routing in a network communication. Systems include circuits to reduce a number of active next-hops between the system and a device of a plurality of devices based at least in part on a total number of next-hops between the system and the device and a total number of active next-hops between the system and the plurality of devices.

A system for global bandwidth-aware adaptive routing in a network communication, the system comprising one or more circuits to:
- reduce a number of active next-hops between the system and a first device of a plurality of devices based at least in part on a total number of next-hops between the system and the plurality of devices and a total number of active next-hops between the system and the first device.
A communication device comprising one or more circuits to:
- determine a total number of active next-hops between the communication device and a first remote device of a plurality of remote devices;
- determine a total number of next-hops between the communication device and the plurality of remote devices;
- and
- reduce the total number of active next-hops between the communication device and the remote device based at least in part on the total number of next-hops between the communication device and the first remote device and the total number of next-hops between the communication device and the plurality of remote devices.
A method, comprising:
- determining a total number of active next-hops between a communication device and a first remote device of a plurality of remote devices;
- determining a total number of active next-hops between the communication device and the plurality of remote devices;
- and
- reducing the total number of active next-hops between the communication device and the first remote device based at least in part on the total number of next-hops between the communication device and the plurality of remote devices and the total number of active next-hops between the communication device and the first remote device.
