Abstract

This application provides a communication method and a related apparatus, to reduce a quantity of bit storage units needed when correlation detection is performed on a preamble, a postamble, or a mid-amble. The method includes: A first device determines a first signal based on a first sequence and sends the first signal, where the first sequence and a first generalized Golay sequence meet a preset relationship, an n-level register is configured to generate the first generalized Golay sequence, a storage depth of a kth-level register in the n-level register is (I), a value of Pk is an integer from 0 to n−1, and a value of Pn is n−1; when i≠j, Pi≠Pj, where values of i and j are integers from 0 to n−1; and a value of k is any integer from 1 to n, a length of the first sequence is N, and N=2n.

Dependent claims

A communication method, comprising:

receiving a first signal;
and
detecting the first signal, and determining a start location and/or an end location of a first sequence in the first signal, wherein the first sequence and a first generalized Golay sequence meet a preset relationship, an n-level register is configured to generate the first generalized Golay sequence, a storage depth of a kth-level register in the n-level register is 2Pk, a value of Pk is an integer from 0 to n−1, and a value of Pn is n−1;
when i≠j, Pi≠Py, wherein values of i and j are integers from 1 to n−1;
and a value of k is any integer from 1 to n, n is a positive integer, a length of the first sequence is N, and N=2n;
and
the detecting the first signal comprises:
detecting the first signal by using 1st-level to (n−1)th-level registers in the n-level register.

at least one processor;
and
a memory coupled to the at least one processor and having program instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to:
determine a first signal based on a first sequence, wherein the first sequence and a first generalized Golay sequence meet a preset relationship, an n-level register is configured to generate the first generalized Golay sequence, a storage depth of a kth-level register in the n-level register is 2Pk, a value of Pk is an integer from 0 to n−1, and a value of Pn is n−1;
when i≠j, Pi≠Pj, wherein values of i and j are integers from 0 to n−1;
and a value of k is any integer from 1 to n, n is a positive integer, a length of the first sequence is N, and N=2n;
and
send the first signal.
