Electrical connection structure for electronic components

An electrical connection structure for electronic components is a connection structure that electrically connects a first electronic component mounted on a first circuit board and a second electronic component mounted on a second circuit board, and also electrically connects the second electronic component and a third electronic component mounted on the second circuit board, wherein:

• the first circuit board and the second circuit board are coupled by at least one board coupler;
• the board coupler comprises a first connector mounted on the first circuit board, a second connector mounted on the second circuit board, and an intermediate connector interposed between the first connector and the second connector;
• the first electronic component is connected to the first connector via circuitry provided on the first circuit board;
• the intermediate connector of the at least one board coupler comprises at least one intermediate member for connectors and at least one intermediate member for linear bodies;
• a counterpart connection portion corresponding to the intermediate member for linear bodies is mounted on the second circuit board at a location in closer proximity to the second electronic component than the board coupler;
• the intermediate member for connectors is connected directly to the first connector and the second connector;
• the second connector is connected to the second electronic component via circuitry provided on the second circuit board;
• the third electronic component is connected to the second connector via circuitry provided on the second circuit board;
• the intermediate member for linear bodies, while being connected directly to the second connector, is connected to the counterpart connection portion via a linear body having a signal transmission line;
• and
• the counterpart connection portion is connected to the second electronic component via circuitry provided on the second circuit board.

• electronic component mounted on a second circuit board, and also electrically connects the second electronic component and a third electronic component mounted on the second circuit board, wherein:
• the first circuit board and the second circuit board are connected by at least one board coupler;
• the board coupler comprises a first connector mounted on the first circuit board, a second connector mounted on the second circuit board, and an intermediate connector interposed between the first connector and the second connector;
• the first electronic component is connected to the first connector via circuitry provided on the first circuit board;
• the intermediate connector of the at least one board coupler comprises at least one of each of two types of intermediate member for linear bodies;
• a counterpart connection portion corresponding to each type of intermediate member for linear bodies is mounted on the second circuit board at a location in closer proximity to the second electronic component than the board coupler;
• of the two types of intermediate member for linear bodies, one type of intermediate member for linear bodies, while being connected directly to the first connector, is connected to the counterpart connection portion via a linear body having a signal transmission line;
• the other type of intermediate member for linear bodies, while being connected directly to the second connector, is connected to the counterpart connection portion via a linear body having a signal transmission line;
• the third electronic component is connected to the second connector via circuitry provided on the second circuit board;
• and
• the counterpart connection portion is connected to the second electronic component via circuitry provided on the second circuit board.
