Composition for Electrode Insulation Coating, Electrode, and Method for Manufacturing Electrode

An electrode manufacturing method, comprising:

• applying an electrode slurry on a current collector;
• and
• applying an insulating composition for an electrode insulating coating on the current collector,
• wherein the insulating composition includes inorganic particles;
• a rubber-based binder;
• a fluorine-based binder;
• a dispersant;
• and a solvent,
• wherein the fluorine-based binder is included in an amount of 7 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of a solid content of the insulating composition excluding the solvent.

An electrode, comprising:

• an electrode current collector;
• an electrode active material layer disposed on one side or both sides of the electrode current collector;
• and
• an insulating layer disposed on one side or both sides of the electrode current collector, so as to contact opposing ends of the electrode active material layer along a longitudinal direction of the electrode,
• wherein the insulating layer comprises inorganic particles;
• a rubber-based binder;
• a fluorine-based binder;
• and a dispersant,
• wherein the fluorine-based binder comprises 7 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of the insulating layer.
