Light emitting diodes and diode arrays for smart ring visual output

A method of displaying information, comprising:

• providing a ring band configured to be worn on a finger of a user;
• receiving data from a sensor within the ring band by a processor disposed within the ring band;
• by a display of an output device communicatively coupled to the processor disposed within the ring band of a ring:
• emitting a first color based on a battery level of the ring;
• emitting a second color based on a malfunction of the ring;
• and
• emitting a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computing instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving data from a sensor within a ring band by a processor disposed within the ring band;
• and
• by a display of an output device communicatively coupled to the processor disposed within the ring band of a ring:
• emitting a first color based on a battery level of the ring;
• emitting a second color based on a malfunction of the ring;
• and
• emitting a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring.
