Abstract
A method aligns video timecodes with Lidar spatial data for filmmaking content creation. A system receives and aligns timecodes from cameras and Lidar devices, storing sync-verified data. A computer-readable medium executes instructions to align and store video and Lidar data for filmmaking.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for timecode synchronization in a Lidar-enhanced filmmaking environment, the method comprising:
- receiving, via one or more processors, a first timecode associated with frames of video data captured by at least one camera;
- receiving, via one or more processors, a second timecode associated with three-dimensional spatial data captured by at least one Lidar device;
- aligning, via one or more processors, the second timecode with the first timecode wherein frames of video data from the at least one camera correspond to temporally matching segments of the three-dimensional spatial data from the at least one Lidar device;
- and
- storing, in one or more memories, sync-verified video-frame data in conjunction with sync-verified three-dimensional spatial data for subsequent processing in generating filmmaking content.
A computing system for timecode synchronization in a Lidar-enhanced filmmaking environment, the system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memories having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to:
- receive, via the one or more processors, a first timecode associated with frames of video data captured by at least one camera;
- receive, via the one or more processors, a second timecode associated with three-dimensional spatial data captured by at least one Lidar device;
- align, via the one or more processors, the second timecode with the first timecode so that frames of video data from the at least one camera correspond to temporally matching segments of the three-dimensional spatial data from the at least one Lidar device;
- and
- store, via the one or more processors, sync-verified video-frame data in conjunction with sync-verified three-dimensional spatial data for subsequent processing in generating filmmaking content.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium, having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed, cause a computer to:
- receive, via one or more processors, a first timecode associated with frames of video data captured by at least one camera;
- receive, via one or more processors, a second timecode associated with three-dimensional spatial data captured by at least one Lidar device;
- align, via one or more processors, the second timecode with the first timecode so that frames of video data from the at least one camera correspond to temporally matching segments of the three-dimensional spatial data from the at least one Lidar device;
- and
- store, via one or more processors, sync-verified video-frame data in conjunction with sync-verified three-dimensional spatial data for subsequent processing in generating filmmaking content.
