Abstract
An information processing apparatus and method is provided and includes one or more memories storing instructions and storing a data structure representing a set of candidate images and feature information about each image in the candidate set of images; and one or more processors that, upon execution of the instructions, are configured to search the data structure for a target image having feature information, determine whether the feature information satisfies a predetermined criteria, select the target image satisfying the predetermined criteria; and transmit the selected image to a secondary application.
Claims19
An information processing apparatus comprising
- one or more memories storing instructions and storing a data structure representing a set of candidate images and feature information about each image in the candidate set of images;
- and
- one or more processors that, upon execution of the instructions, are configured to:
- search the data structure for a target image having feature information;
- determine whether the feature information satisfies a predetermined criteria;
- select the target image satisfying the predetermined criteria;
- and
- transmit the selected image to a secondary application,
- wherein the feature information are a plurality of facial activation units characterizing particular expressions of a person in the captured image.

An information processing method performed on a data structure stored in memory representing a set of candidate images and feature information about each image in the candidate set of images, the method comprising
- searching the data structure for a target image having feature information;
- determining whether the feature information satisfies a predetermined criteria;
- selecting the target image satisfying the predetermined criteria;
- and
- transmitting the selected image to a secondary application,
- wherein the feature information are a plurality of facial activation units characterizing particular expressions of a person in the captured image.
