Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a memory buffer pool maintenance method, a device, a system, and a storage medium. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, for a compute-storage disaggregated architecture, a processing unit interconnected with a computing unit is additionally provided in a computing node and a memory node. A consistency maintenance task of memory cache data is issued to the processing unit for execution, rather than being performed by the computing unit. Since the processing unit has a capability to directly access a local memory buffer pool or a shared memory buffer pool, data transmission during the consistency maintenance of the memory cache data is largely completed internally within the processing unit, without being required to be uploaded to the computing unit.
