Abstract
An information processing apparatus is connected over a communication network to a printer and a cloud printing service holding a print job received. The information processing apparatus obtains, from the cloud printing service, first device identification information for linking with the cloud printing service; and installs a program that transmits, to the cloud printing service, a print job output by a printer driver corresponding to the printer, based on the first device identification information.
Claims10
An information processing apparatus connected over a communication network to a printer and a cloud printing service holding a print job received, the information processing apparatus comprising:
- at least one memory storing instructions;
- and
- at least one processor that is in communication with the at least one memory and that, when executing the instructions, cooperates with the at least one memory to execute processing, the processing including:
- obtaining, from the cloud printing service, first device identification information for linking with the cloud printing service;
- and
- installing a program that transmits, to the cloud printing service, a print job output by a printer driver corresponding to the printer, based on the first device identification information.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored therein a program that, when loaded and executed by a computer, causes the computer to execute processing, the processing comprising:
- obtaining, from a cloud printing service, first device identification information for linking with the cloud printing service;
- and
- installing a program that transmits, to the cloud printing service, a print job output by a printer driver corresponding to a printer, based on the first device identification information.
A method for installing a program in an information processing apparatus connected over a communication network to a printer and a cloud printing service holding a print job received from another information processing apparatus, the method comprising:
- obtaining first device identification information for linking with a cloud printing service, from the cloud printing service;
- and
- installing a program that transmits, to the cloud printing service, a print job output by a printer driver corresponding to the printer, based on the first device identification information.
