The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program that make it possible to make a user feel that the use of services is a special occasion. An information processing apparatus according to an aspect of the present technology is an apparatus that determines a state of a user on the basis of sensor data acquired using a sensor situated around the user; and that provides the user with a specific service for which content is used, the provision being performed when the user is alone at a specific location surrounded by wall surfaces in at least three directions. Content that includes sound and an image is used for services, where examples of the content include content that offers a state in which a user is surrounded by his/her favorites, and content that offers a state in which the user is alone. The present technology can be applied to smartphones.
