Abstract
A replaceable toner container for use in an electrophotographic image forming device according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for storing toner. An air duct on the housing has an air inlet for receiving forced air from an air source in the image forming device when the toner container is installed in the image forming device and an air outlet for directing the forced air to an imaging station of the image forming device that is separate from the toner container for cooling one or more imaging components of the imaging station when the toner container is installed in the image forming device.
Claims10
A replaceable toner container for use in an electrophotographic image forming device, comprising:
- a housing having a reservoir for storing toner;
- and
- an air duct on the housing having an air inlet for receiving forced air from an air source in the image forming device when the toner container is installed in the image forming device and an air outlet for directing the forced air to an imaging station of the image forming device that is separate from the toner container for cooling one or more imaging components of the imaging station when the toner container is installed in the image forming device,
- wherein the air duct is a separable component attached to the housing, wherein the air duct shares a common wall with the housing such that a shared portion of the common wall defines a volume of the toner reservoir and an air path through the air duct.

A waste toner container for use in an electrophotographic image forming device, comprising:
- a housing having a reservoir for storing toner;
- and
- a plurality of toner inlet ports for receiving waste toner from a corresponding plurality of cleaner units when the waste toner container is installed in the image forming device;
- and
- an air duct on the housing having an air inlet for receiving forced air from an air source in the image forming device when the toner container is installed in the image forming device and a plurality of air outlets for directing the forced air to corresponding imaging stations of the image forming device for cooling one or more imaging components of each imaging station when the toner container is installed in the image forming device,
- wherein the air duct is a separable component attached to the housing, wherein the air duct shares a common wall with the housing such that a shared portion of the common wall defines a volume of the toner reservoir and an air path through the air duct.
