Abstract
Implementations of an apparatus, a system, and a method are disclosed herein. In one implementation, an apparatus comprises an optical fiber cable configured for use in a wellbore proximate to one or more subsurface formations, wherein the optical fiber cable is configured to attach to a supporting structure in the wellbore, wherein the optical fiber cable includes one or more optical fibers configured in a state of axial compression at room temperature, and wherein the one or more optical fibers are configured to remain in the state of axial compression during a thermal expansion of the supporting structure in the wellbore.

An apparatus comprising:
- an optical fiber cable configured for use in a wellbore proximate to one or more subsurface formations, wherein the optical fiber cable is configured to attach to a supporting structure in the wellbore, wherein the optical fiber cable includes one or more optical fibers configured in a state of axial compression at room temperature, and wherein the one or more optical fibers are configured to remain in the state of axial compression during a thermal expansion of the supporting structure in the wellbore.
A system comprising:
- an optical fiber cable configured for use in a first wellbore proximate to one or more subsurface formations, wherein the optical fiber cable includes one or more optical fibers configured in a state of axial compression at room temperature;
- and
- a supporting structure to be positioned in the first wellbore, wherein the optical fiber cable is configured to attach to the supporting structure, and wherein the one or more optical fibers are configured to remain in the state of axial compression during a thermal expansion of the supporting structure in the first wellbore.
A method comprising:
- configuring an optical fiber insert of an optical fiber cable to remain in a state of axial compression at room temperature, wherein the optical fiber insert includes one or more optical fibers, wherein the optical fiber cable is configured to attach to a supporting structure in a wellbore proximate to one or more subsurface formations, and wherein the one or more optical fibers are configured to remain in the state of axial compression during a thermal expansion of the supporting structure in the wellbore.
