Abstract
This optical fiber includes a core and a clad which surrounds the core. The optical fiber has the cut-off wavelength of 1260 nm to 1460 nm. The effective area of the optical fiber at the wavelength of 1450 nm is 75 μm2 to 85 μm2. The effective area of the optical fiber at the wavelength of 1550 nm is 83 μm2 to 95 μm2. The effective area of the optical fiber at the wavelength of 1625 nm is equal to or smaller than 100 μm2. The transmission loss of the optical fiber at the wavelength of 1550 nm is equal to or smaller than 0.160 dB/km. The wavelength dispersion of the optical fiber at the wavelength of 1550 nm is equal to or larger than 15.0 ps/nm/km.
