Molten material height detection method, molten material height detection apparatus, and method for manufacturing molten material

A molten material height detection method for detecting a molten material height in a smelting furnace, the molten material height detection method comprising:

• measuring vibration at one or more positions of a furnace wall of a lower portion of the smelting furnace;
• calculating a vibration intensity at a frequency that is correlated with vibration generated by introduction of a gas into an inflow hole of the lower portion by analyzing a frequency of the vibration;
• and
• detecting the molten material height by using a corrected vibration intensity obtained by removing influence of blast volume of a gas introduced through the inflow hole from the vibration intensity at the frequency.

A method for manufacturing a molten material by using a smelting furnace, the method comprising:

• measuring vibration at one or more positions of a furnace wall of a lower portion of the smelting furnace;
• calculating a vibration intensity at a frequency that is correlated with vibration generated by introduction of a gas into an inflow hole of the lower portion by analyzing a frequency of the vibration;
• detecting a molten material height in the smelting furnace by using a corrected vibration intensity obtained by removing influence of blast volume of a gas introduced through the inflow hole from the vibration intensity at the frequency;
• and
• adjusting a molten material manufacturing condition so that the detected molten material height falls within a target molten material height range.
