Abstract

The height measurement apparatus includes a base, a power mechanism, and a measuring device. The measuring device includes an acquisition surface, where an orientation of the acquisition surface is parallel to a first direction. When the measuring device is in a measuring state, and the acquisition surface is opposite an object to be measured, the measuring device outputs first-type information. When the acquisition surface is not opposite the object to be measured, the measuring device outputs second-type information. The measuring device is disposed at an output end of the power mechanism, such that the measuring device can move relative to the base when driven by the power mechanism, thereby changing a measuring region of the measuring device. A motion of the measuring device relative to the base includes displacement in a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction.
