Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device comprising:

• a case that forms a housing chamber inside which oil flows;
• a power transmission mechanism disposed inside the housing chamber, the power transmission mechanism being able to transmit power from a power source, to a wheel;
• and
• an oil passage structure at least a portion of which is formed in the case,
• wherein
• the power transmission mechanism includes a rotary body that rotates about an axis when power transmission is performed,
• the rotary body includes an outer peripheral portion able to scoop up oil stored on a lower side inside the housing chamber by rotation of the rotary body,
• the oil passage structure includes a first oil chamber into which oil scooped up by rotation of the rotary body is introduced, and a first oil passage communicating with the first oil chamber, and
• oil inside the first oil chamber is pressure-fed to the first oil passage, based on an oil pressure generated when new oil is introduced into the first oil chamber by rotation of the rotary body.
