Abstract
A climbing device for improving an access for a person to a mold of a large wind turbine part is provided, including a flexible ladder structure with rungs, a suction unit for attaching the ladder structure to a surface of the mold via suction force, and an activation unit for activating the suction unit to generate the suction force and for deactivating the suction unit to release the suction force. The suction unit is configured for independently holding the ladder structure at the surface of an inclined section of the mold via the suction force.
